It has been ages since Dave or myself have updated this blog. We had a: Easter, Family Graduations, and an Anniversary. Recently Robert Cedric Bowden the director of the film Dave has been cast in, where Dave plays a Cop, Officer Bird, put up some photos of their rehearsals. Shooting is scheduled to begin in July. Dave, Mike Seely, and a few others will also be scoring the film.

THE PITCH
Eric (the assistant manager at the local grocery store) thinks it will be hilarious to play a harmless prank on Todd (a mentally disabled janitor) and wants his buddy and co-worker, Ricco, to help with the prank. Ricco is against it, at first, but it doesn't take much until he's talked into playing along. THE PRANK: Eric tells Todd that the new attractive cashier, DALLAS, told him that she has a secret crush on him. And that one night after work he should walk her out to her car and kiss her goodnight. Todd has every reason to believe Eric and Ricco, after all he Ricco and Eric have always been good friends and Dallas has always treated him very nice. Eric also tells Todd that Dallas might reject the kiss a few times but it's only because she's afraid that he will break her heart, so he needs to keep trying until she kisses him back.
The night comes when Todd walks Dallas out to her car. But things don't go as planned. When he goes in for the kiss, he's rejected as expected. So he does what he was told to do and he keeps trying. With each try Todd becomes more aggressive and more physical until Dallas is terrified and is forced to slap him to try and get away. Todd’s INTANTLY retaliates with his fist and strikes her in the face and knocking her on her back, half unconscious. As he looks at her on the ground, he knows that he has made a mistake and that he's in trouble. So he runs off.
As Dallas struggles to get up we hear Todd walk back to her and when we see him, he's holding a giant slab of concrete above her head. He thrusts it down on her skull and crushes her head.
The following day Eric shows up to work to find the parking lot taped off with dozens of police officers investigating and interviewing neighbors. When Eric and Ricco learn of the murder, they know that they MUST find Todd before the police find him. If the police find Todd first they know that THEY will be charged with the murder.
But when they find Todd, what are they going to do?... Tell him a story and trust that he will go along with it? Tell him the truth?...Kill him?...or maybe even get paranoid that one of them is going to rat the other one out and kill each other....

Rooomies
The first episode has been shot! It took two long all nighters of shooting. I got to come and watch the second day of shooting and even be an extra! It was shot at the Red Cliffs Cinema we got to throw popcorn, and soda on the directors, it was a lot of fun! A few days after it was shot we got a phone call that everything that had been shot at the apartment was to brown so we needed a new location and that needed to be re-shot. Long story short that got the director/writer/creator/actor, thinking and he decided that he was rewriting the whole show. He invited Dave, and a few of the other actors to go and pitch ideas. There is now a four episodes written waiting to be filmed. Filming begins Jan 11, and they are still planning on meeting their end of January Premiere.
An extra little fun side note. The director, has a composer that he usually works through for his film projects, but he knows that Dave writes music and he thought he would give him a chance. He ended up picking Dave's the shows theme song! It is inspired by Flight of the Concords (what the director was looking for.) Listen close when you watch the show.
For my family who just started looking at my blog if you click older posts once, you will be able to read all about the show and Dave's other acting projects

Acting Dave
Some very exciting news has been happening around the Andersen house but Dave has been forbidding me from telling people. I did however, sneak and told his dad, brother, and sisters anyway. Now I just can not keep it a secret any longer and it is going on our blog.
In September Dave saw an open call audition for a indie short film, and thought he would give it a try. He went to the audition, his first ever audition outside of the high school and middle school plays he was in, and landed a part! It is a small supporting role. It is a very important role though, because his character sets the whole tone of the movie. His characters name is Evil. So that was very exciting to land a role on the first try out. It was going to wrap filming the weekend before Thanksgiving. Then be shown on the Festival Circuit (Sundance, Cannes etc.) for about a year. It is also being submitted as a pilot to possibly be made into a full length feature. It will likely get recast if that happens but its still cool!
He has also filmed two commercials for the "Spot On Competition". This is a competition that UT does. The commercials are intended to show UT as a filmable, and desirable location. The winning commercials are shown on the Travel Channel, another channel I dont remember, and are selected to air at different Film Festivals. So keep your fingers crossed.
Two days ago Dave gets a call from the director, the movie is being put on hold it will now wrap filming in either December of January, because they just got green lighted for St. Georges first ever sitcom and it has to be done in December. They have The Echo and other running programs here but not a sitcom. So we are a little bummed except that they want Dave to be in the sitcom!!!! They will be shooting four episodes that will appear on Dtv, if the show does well it will get picked up for a whole season. If it has high ratings it might be shown an KSL, airing on all of Utah

Daves New Hair!
Dave got a new hair cut(last month), Hurray! He loves it and thinks that this new look makes him look even more sexy than he did before, and I would have to agree with him. Of course he went to Alesha at Hush Hub.

Happy Birthday to Dave!
Daves birthday was on March 3rd. He is the big 26 now, the downward slope to 40 as he likes to think of it. The morning started off with him getting french toast for breakfast. Its a little tradition his parents had when the kids were younger to make each child their favorite breakfast,so it is one we have carried on in our house. After breakfast we both had to work, but when we got home we went to my parents house and had dinner, a cake and presents. Dave got a Chinese Dragon card, and some carmels from my sister, a chocolate bunny the size of a small child that my dad picked out (he thought this was hilarious) and a ukulele from all of us. He was pretty excited! He already know a song too! He is patiently awaiting the presents from his dad, brother, and sister. On Saturday the two of us are going to carry on his birthday activities
